Biography
Christine Howson has been an attorney for more than two decades. Her main areas of practice are real estate and business litigation, and she primarily represents lenders, mortgage brokers and other businesses involved in financial services industry.
Christine has prosecuted and defended hundreds of lawsuits, including actions based on lender liability claims involving federal and state mortgage laws, professional liability claims pertaining to mortgage brokers and other real estate professionals, shareholder disputes, breach of contract claims, actions alleging fraud, unfair competition and other business torts, and litigation involving commercial leasing, easements and other various real estate disputes. She has an uncommonly high success rate resolving litigation through dispositive pre-trial motions, and significant experience with extraordinary remedies such as injunctions, writs of attachment and receiverships.
Christine received her B.A. from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1985, and her J.D. from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in 1988. She is a member of the California State Bar, and she is also admitted in practice int he U.S. District Courts for the Central and Southern Districts of California, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
As a life-long equestrian, when she is not working, Christine enjoys training and competing with her horses, and also hiking and mountain biking.
